Got Transport Ltd — Short Terms & Conditions
- Parties These Terms apply between Got Transport Ltd (“Carrier”) and the person or entity hiring transport services (“Customer”).
- Services Carrier provides transportation, collection, delivery, and related logistics services as agreed in the booking or contract.
- Bookings & Confirmation All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email accepted). Carrier’s acceptance is subject to vehicle/equipment availability and any required permits.
- Rates & Payment Rates are as quoted and payable in GBP/USD/EUR (as specified) unless agreed otherwise. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless agreed differently. Late payments incur interest at 4% above base rate per month and collection costs.
- Cancellation & Amendments Customer cancellations or changes must be notified in writing. Carrier may charge a cancellation or amendment fee based on timing and costs incurred.
- Customer Obligations Customer must supply accurate details, ensure goods are properly packaged, labelled, and legal to transport, and provide safe access for loading/unloading. Carrier may refuse unsafe, hazardous, or improperly prepared goods.
- Liability & Insurance Carrier’s liability for loss or damage is limited to the value declared in writing at booking or, where no declaration is made, to statutory limits. Customer is advised to obtain adequate cargo insurance. Carrier is not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.
- Delivery & Timeframes Delivery dates or windows are estimates only. Carrier is not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, customs, third-party acts, force majeure, or events outside reasonable control.
- Claims & Loss/Damage All damage, shortage, or non-delivery claims must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery (or within 7 days of the expected delivery date for non-delivery). Carrier may require inspection of goods and supporting documentation.
- Dangerous Goods Customer must notify Carrier in writing and provide appropriate documentation before transport of any dangerous or regulated goods. Carrier may refuse or impose special conditions and charges.
- Subcontracting Carrier may subcontract all or part of the services. Subcontractors engaged by Carrier shall be entitled to the benefit of these Terms.
- Termination Either party may terminate services for material breach, insolvency, or where performance becomes impossible. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.
- Data & Privacy Carrier will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Use of Customer contact and shipment information is limited to service provision and lawful business purposes.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in the quote or contract. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
- Miscellaneous These Terms (together with booking documents) constitute the entire agreement. No variation is binding unless agreed in writing by an authorized representative of Carrier.
